Pros of using SBS Roofing

  • One of the more expensive Commercial Roofing Systems in the commercial roofing industry
  • Available option for solar reflective index of 72, meaning this system reflects UV rays which in essence keeps the surface of the roof cool which makes the R Value of your roofing system more efficient which creates cost savings on electricity.
  • Most recommended and efficient for High Rise buildings, Roofs with many penetrations, Extreme Chemical Resistance (not compatible with Solvents)
  • Some manufacturers do not require substrate slope in order to achieve a premium 20-year NDL warranty. (will require added materials for this option)
  • Heavy Duty Puncture Resistance.
  • As long as the system is maintained properly by a Certified applicator throughout the course of its life this system can last 20-50 years.
  • Slip resistant.
  • This system is required for Emergency hurricane shelters as it carries High Wind Load Characteristics

  • polyisocyanurate insulation (one manufacturer allows this application with a Strata-Vent Base sheet)
  • Modified Inter-ply membranes.

SBS Membrane can be Fully adhered directly to the substrates noted above

  • Class A Fire barrier
  • Over approved existing roofing substrates

  • SBS Roofing is an extremely Durable roofing system for roofs with high traffic and above average penetrations, Walk Pad is recommended around all serviceable roof top units and all access points but not required.
  • SBS carries 72 MPH wind exclusions and is eligible for Wind riders of up to 175 MPH.
