Pros of using BUR Roofing
- One of the most expensive Commercial Roofing Systems in the commercial roofing industry
- Most recommended and efficient for structures of 4 stories and below, this system can go higher but the use of a full time crane and or hoist will be required which drives cost thru the roof, Roofs with many penetrations, Extreme Traffic Exposure, Extreme Chemical Resistance (not compatible with Solvents)
- requires substrate slope in order to achieve a premium 20-year NDL warranty. (will require added materials for this option)
- Extreme Heavy Duty Puncture Resistance.
- As long as the system is maintained properly by a Certified applicator throughout the course of its life this system can last 20-50 years.
- Slip resistant.
- Coal Tar Pitch carries waterproofing characteristics and is a system designed to be submersible in water as the system is considered to be self-healing.
- This system qualifies does not qualify for emergency shelter use because of the gravel surface (poses risks for Projectiles during high wind storms)

- Not many companies are entertaining this application as it is considered a dinosaur in the industry.

- polyisocyanurate insulation (one manufacturer allows this application with a Strata-Vent Base sheet)
- Modified Inter-ply membranes.
BUR Membrane can be Fully adhered directly to the substrates noted above

BUR Durability & Wind Resistance
- BUR Roofing is an extremely Durable roofing system for roofs with high traffic and above average penetrations, Walk Pad is recommended around all serviceable roof top units and all access points but not required.
- BUR carries 72 MPH wind exclusions and is eligible for Wind riders of up to 175 MPH.
